Great Job Ed Barton & Lonnie Bamer

We want to acknowledge Ed Barton and Lonnie Bamer for making the effort to make the trip to Vegas for the event.

This was the first time for us to meet Lonnie, and it was a real pleasure! There is nothing like spending time with your team and getting the information first hand. It was wonderful spending time again with Ed Barton. We really appreciate you guys!

There are a lot of changes and new happenings on the horizon and Tom and I are pleased to see the direction the company is going.

There were a lot of heartfelt experiences shared and honest realizations and we like that there is nothing to hide.

We will be uploading pictures shortly to share with you a little bit of the trip.

Make sure to go to your back office and on the right rotating text area, click on the "Local Ad Link Updates" to stay in touch with what is happening. We are excited to know that we will be receiving far fewer emails from the company. We can get company info right from our back office now.

Our upline, Mike and Stacy Healy received a very honorable award and we captured it on our iFlip video camera and will do our best to share soon.

LocalAdLink is moving forward and those who stick it out will benefit greatly!

Seth Godin-He Certainly Makes You Think

I know I have mentioned Seth Godin before. But you might not know who he is.

I was introduced to him through a book that was recommended to me a couple of years ago, called "The Dip". If you haven't read it , I do suggest you pick it up.

Seth Godin is the bestselling author of more than seven books. He writes about marketing, the spread of ideas and managing both customers and employees with respect. His work applies both in the job world and the network, mlm world.

Two of his recent blog posts really make you think about a couple of reasons we might not be as successful as we might like to be. I included them here for you to get you to think about ways to improve on ways to stand out and by having an agenda in place.

Get on his blog list. It makes for some interesting and thought provoking reading.

Copied directly from Seth's blog...

"Why am I here?"

This is a simple mantra that is going to change the way you attend every meeting and every conference for the rest of your life.

You probably don't have to be there. No gun held to your head, after all. So, why are you spending the time?

Do you have an agenda? It might be to change the agenda, or meet someone who will become a client or to learn something that will help you at work tomorrow.

Well, if that's why you're here, tell me again why you're just sitting there? If the only reason you came was to avoid the office, you need a new office. Quick, before the boss decides that for you.

Surely you have a question you can ask the speaker. Surely you have something interesting to say to the person sitting next to you. Surely you can do more than just sheepishly hand someone a business card they have no reason to save or remember or use.

If there isn't a good reason, go home. If there is, then do something. Loud, now and memorable. Productive too, please.

You're boring

Sorry, someone had to say it.

Your products are predictable. Your insights are recycled. You don't bring surprise with you when you enter a room.

That's why people are ignoring you.

Which used to be fine, because you could just buy attention for your brand or your company or your sales efforts. But that half-price sale on attention is now over.

The only path left is to lean out of the edge and become interesting, noteworthy and yes, remarkable.

(OK, I fall into both of these categories at times)

Ok, now my suggestion...
Take each of these posts and pick something to change. Just one thing and make an improvement to create that "Slight Edge" (that sound familiar???).

Great Job Mary Jane and Alexa update

Wanted to throw a big "GREAT JOB MARY JANE COTTELL" out there to her because she has taken the action necessary to grow her business. She got "The One Word" system, and for the last two days has made her goal of 10 contacts per day.

She created her own drop card and is creating some awesome contacts by visiting her local businesses. If they can not talk to her then, she leaves her card and let's them know she will follow up with them in a day or two.

On that card, she has the website to "The One Word" presentation. That's it It tells all the details in the video for you. You don't have to sell. Incredible!

One person she contacted is an upscale health club that turns out has 5 locations and she also has an additional business as well. The owner was very interested in more information.

The info on that presentation is below in a previous post. You will like what you see. Simple!

So Congrats, Mary Jane, for taking action. You are awesome!!!

The Alexa News:

The website grew up the Alexa ranks again by another 200 positions in 2 days!

We are now positioned at 3,107. The company has a goal to reach the top 2000 sites by the
end of June. Lets do our part to make that happen! Together Everyone Achieves More!

What are TWO things we can all do RIGHT NOW that will continue to drive our Alexa rating UP?

1. Make the LocalAdLink.Com page your HOME page.

2. Place a LINK on your Facebook and MySpace page.

Everybody plays a huge part in taking the company from small to BIG!
